Dr. Edwin L. Olmos is currently the Department Chair for Natural Sciences and Engineering of the School of Sciences and Engineering of UA&P. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. He obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from the same university.

Before joining UA&P, he worked in the Construction Division of the Engineering Equipment, Inc., and at the Metallurgical Technology Division of the Mines and Geo-Science Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

He was a Project Director of the Philippine Foundation for Cultural and Educational Development, Inc. (PFCED), a non-government organization committed to the promotion of academic excellence, professional proficiency, as well as social responsibility among people from all walks of life.

His interests focus on the field of environmental science, waste management research, corrosion, and metallurgical and industrial engineering.
