The Business Economics Club (BEC) of the UA&P School of Economics will hold its 2023 Yearend Business Economics Briefing on November 29, 2023 (Wednesday), at 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm via Zoom. This year’s theme is “China’s Economic Uncertainty and What it Means for the Philippines.”
In recent weeks, China has been facing tremendous challenges such as a crisis in the property market, sluggish consumer spending, high unemployment, a record-low yuan, among other economic setbacks. While China is struggling its way out of its economic stagnation, some economists and analysts around the world observed that China’s efforts may be inadequate.
This webinar will help attendees navigate through the Chinese economy, and its implications on the Philippine economy and some key industries. The speaker will be Prof. Reuben Mondejar from IESE Business School, a renowned commentator on Asian affairs for international news providers. He will be joined by UA&P Senior Economists Dr. Victor Abola and Dr. Bernardo Villegas.
