Attuned to the University’s mission of promoting lifelong education and learning, UA&P’s Accountancy Program is once again calling on CPAs from Ortigas, NCR and nearby locations to their third Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offering—this time, with the highlight on the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Agreement on Accountancy.
The ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) for Accountancy Services was signed last November 2014 by all ASEAN member states. This MRA is intended to provide mobility of accountants in the ASEAN Region, leaving minimal restrictions on the practice of accountants. In turn, Filipino CPAs will be able to take advantage of the demand for accountants in areas such as Singapore, Malaysia, and other ASEAN member states.
The Philippines has organized a Monitoring Committee for the MRA implementation, tasked to release the guidelines on how to become ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountants (ACPAs). This CPD seminar aspires to raise awareness on the important developments in the regionalism of services in the ASEAN and in the field of accountancy.
This seminar is set to take place at the Dining Halls 1 and 2, UA&P campus on May 4, 2018, Friday. Session is from 8 AM – 5 PM. The seminar qualifies under Competence Area A. Fee for this session is PhP 2,000. A package composed of multiple sessions, inclusive of meals, handouts and certificate, is also available.
