UA&P received a national award at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) 2022 ASEAN ICONS Internationalization Awards held last August 26 at the Hilton Manila.
CHED ASEAN ICONS (ASEAN Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Champions of Nation-building and Sustainability) recognizes exemplary higher education institutions that championed the global reputation of Philippine Higher Education through their commendable performance in international rankings and ratings, efforts to advance the internationalization of Philippine HEIs, and valuable contributions to ASEAN’s regional prosperity.
UA&P was recognized for its outstanding performance in the 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, the only worldwide ranking that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). THE provides comprehensive and balanced comparisons across the areas of research, outreach and stewardship.
The UA&P Information of Science and Technology (IST) Extension Program was also nominated in the Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion category. (Read about IST’s recent extension efforts here and here.)
