The Center for Research and Communication (CRC), now an accredited highly-qualified, well-experienced, and trusted Institutional Privacy Trainer of the National Privacy Commission (NPC), holds online classes for the “Data Protection Officers Foundational and Certification Course” starting on January 15, 2022. An interactive, instructor-led training course with study material by subject matter experts, the foundational course adheres to international standards and is a first step to becoming a full-fledged Data Protection Officer. By the end of the session, participants will be Certified Data Protection Specialists after an examination which will gauge their competencies in the following areas:
- The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations
- The WHATs, WHYs and HOWs of data protection and implementing data security in the enterprise
- The duties, roles, responsibilities and accountability of a Data Privacy / Protection Officer
- The accountability and responsibilities of the enterprise in protecting its assets (specific to data in relation to personal data of its stakeholders)
