The Economic Briefing for Diplomats held on October 16 at the University of Asia and the Pacific brought together diplomats from 20 countries to explore Philippine economic prospects and landscape for 2025. Among those in attendance was Ambassador Luis Bocalandro from the Embassy of Argentina, along with representatives from the embassies of Spain, the United States, Finland, South Africa, Myanmar, Singapore, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, Canada, Panama, Colombia, New Zealand, France, and Russia.
UA&P co-founder and senior economist Dr. Bernardo Villegas conducted the briefing, highlighting several key factors that could influence the Philippine economy in the coming years. Dr. Robin Michael Garcia, President and CEO of WR Advisory Group, discussed the security issues in the South China Sea and their impact on the Philippines’ relations with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the US, and the European Union.
