The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) awarded Dr. Veronica Ramirez second place for Best Research for her paper entitled “Constructing the Road Leading to HEI Internationalization through Quality Assurance.” The award was given during PACUCOA’s 30th Annual General Assembly last December 2 at the Novotel Manila in Quezon City.

Dr. Ramirez is the holder of the BPI Professorial Chair for Migration and Overseas Filipino Work from 2014-2019. Last year, her research “Common health problems of Women OFWs: Implications to Prevention and Health Services,” won first place at the 2019 APEC Inaugural Healthy Women, Healthy Economies Research Prize, awarded in La Serena, Chile. PACUCOA previously awarded Dr. Ramirez the first prize for Best Research in 2016 for her paper “Migrant Education in Philippine Higher Education Institutions: Drivers, Experience and challenges to Continuous Quality Improvement.”
