The initiative was announced during the Political Economy Alumni Homecoming  held last December. The 2021 homecoming committee gathered donations from alumni as initial funds to be sustained over the coming years.

The Dr. Klaus Zeller-Political Economy Alumni Academic Grants, named in honor of the late Dr. Klaus Zeller, former ambassador of Germany to the Philippines and former UA&P political economy professor, aim to provide additional support to Political Economy students in the form of internet subsidies and thesis grants. Mrs. Maria Teresa Zeller, wife of Dr. Zeller, who joined the December homecoming expressed her appreciation for the gratitude of Dr. Zeller’s former students and for the effort to recognize her husband’s legacy.
