On September 28, UA&P School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance faculty members Dr. Robin Michael Garcia and Dr. Jemy Gatdula were at the Singapore Embassy in Manila to brief the new cohort completing the Foreign Service Basic Training Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.

They delivered presentations and engaged in a Q&A about Philippine governance structure, Philippine electoral politics, and foreign policy. They were joined by Dr. Ronald U. Mendoza, who discussed dynastic politics in the Philippines.

Each cohort will travel to other countries for a brief but intensive visit in order to gain an understanding of sociopolitical and economic realities outside of their home country. The new Singaporean Ambassador to the Philippines Constance See was in attendance.
