Armed with passion and full hearts, the UA&P Firestarters won first place in the 14th Women’s Colleges Sports Association Cheerdance Competition last Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Headed by Coach Ajjie Mendelebar and Team Captain Mara Samson, the victory of the UA&P Firestarters displaced the defending champion Miriam College Pep Squad, putting them in first runner-up. MC Pep Squad previously held the crown of the WCSA Cheerdance Competition since 2008. Not far behind was St. Scholastica’s College-Manila Scions, bagging second runner-up.

Other members of the WCSA who participated in the cheerdance event were Assumption College – San Lorenzo, St. Paul University–Quezon City, Enderun Colleges Inc., Philippine Women’s University, and San Beda Alabang.
