The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) recently hosted an exploratory meeting with Clark Development Corporation (CDC), led by its President and CEO, Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, together with members of her senior management team. The meeting, held on January 9 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the UA&P Dining Halls, aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions.
The discussion centered on exploring how UA&P can support CDC’s organizational goals through executive and continuing education, particularly in manpower training, leadership development, and capability building for CDC managers and staff. Presentations from UA&P’s Continuing Real-World Education Unit, Center for Research and Communication, and Center for Social Responsibility were followed by an open forum and discussion on possible collaborative pathways.

The meeting marked an initial step toward fostering a partnership aligned with CDC’s vision of transforming Clark into a modern, sustainable aerotropolis and UA&P’s commitment to leadership formation and nation-building.
Clark Development Corporation (CDC) is the government-owned agency leading the transformation of Clark into a globally competitive economic zone, driving growth in key sectors such as tourism, IT-BPM, and semiconductors through smart infrastructure and investor-friendly development. Under this vision, Clark has emerged as a premier business and events hub, recently earning the title “Asia’s Leading Meetings & Conference Destination” at the World Travel Awards – one of the most prestigious recognitions in the global tourism industry. This achievement reinforces Clark’s position as a rising MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) destination in the Asia-Pacific, supported by CDC’s long-term strategy and strong collaboration with the Department of Tourism.
