James Caswang holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He obtained his Master of Science in Industrial Economics and Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P).
Between 2014 and 2016, James taught principles of economics, macroeconomics, managerial economics, and research seminars in UA&P as a full-time faculty member of the School of Economics. In 2017, he received a 100% post-graduate scholarship award for a four-year PhD program in the Department of Real Estate and Construction at HKU. He worked under the supervision of Professor Lawrence W.C. Lai, who has received international recognition in the field of Coasian analysis, neo-institutional economics, and planning research. James also taught some subjects including property rights economics.
