Maita Javellana-Sarabia holds a Professional Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education & Students with Disabilities from the New York State Department of Education.

After receiving the degree of BA in Humanities, Major in Development Education from the University of Asia and the Pacific, she then completed her Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education & Special Education at Touro College in New York.

She worked as a Lead Preschool Teacher for Bright Horizons Family Solutions Inc., a National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited child-care provider in the United States.

She then became a Head Special Education Teacher for United Cerebral Palsy of New York City.
