Philip Peckson holds a PhD in English Language and Literature from the Ateneo de Manila University.

His research focuses on the urbanism of Manila, particularly its interruption by the Second World War, the subsequent redirection of the middle and upper classes into enclaves, and how this has formed the urban subjectivity of those classes and those they exclude. Philip is also developing courses that closely connect the humanities with the study of cities.
