Forum on “Understanding Muslim Mindanao”

The UA&P School of Social Sciences, Law, and Governance is co-organizing a forum with the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID) scheduled on March 18 (Tuesday) from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Li Seng Giap Auditorium. Entitled “Understanding Muslim Mindanao: Politics, Peace, Progress,” the forum will feature speakers Ms. Amina Rasul-Bernardo, President of the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy, and Imam Ebra Moxsir, National President, Imam Council of the Philippines.

The Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy (PCID) is a non-partisan, non-governmental organization dedicated to the study of Islamic and democratic political thought, and the search for a peaceful solution to the conflicts affecting the Muslim communities of Mindanao. The forum will allow the audience and participants to augment their level of understanding and widen their perspectives of Muslim issues critical to our nation and provide opportunities for non-Muslims to understand and possibly participate in the efforts to address the complex problems facing Muslim communities.
