A delegation from the UA&P School of Education and Human Development visited the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) last July 23. The visit was hosted by the Consortium for Research on Early Childhood Development and Education (CORE) at HKU.
The UA&P delegation included Dr. Lexie C. Estacio, from the Office of the Vice President for Faculty Affairs, Melissa Antoinette C. Garcia, School Director of the UA&P CDE Center; and Shelesh Marie A. Fadri, Center Administrative Officer.Dr. Diana Lee and research assistant Jichen Liu led the delegation on a campus tour and provided a comprehensive overview of the curriculum system related to early childhood development and education at HKU’s Faculty of Education.

CORE was established in 2020 as an interdisciplinary team of professionally trained members in early childhood education, special educational needs, pediatrics, psychology and statistics. The team’s work is highly relevant to government policy makers, early childhood educators as well as local, regional and international non-governmental organizations.
