The University of Asia and the Pacific through its School of Management (SMN) is now a signatory member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a United Nations Global Compact Initiative. PRME welcomed UA&P in January 2025 and joins over 850 leading business and management schools from 93 countries around the world that are committed to building a more sustainable future by implementing the Seven Principles and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Founded in 2007, PRME is the largest organized relationship between the United Nations and management-related higher education institutions. As a platform to raise the profile of sustainability in business schools around the world, PRME equips today’s business students with the understanding and ability to deliver change tomorrow.

SMN will continue to be actively involved in promoting the PRME seven principles as a core element of its academic programs, among others, and in partnering with the University’s stakeholders in the pursuit of SDGs.
For more information about the University’s PRME initiative, you may contact Dr. Ruel V. Maningas, SMN Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs and Research and the University’s PRME Focal Pointperson or Ms. Jodie Claire Ngo, SMN OpCom Secretary and PRME Alternate Focal Point.
