UA&P Industrial Engineering partners with FAST Logistics, AF Payments Inc. for strategic scoping studies

The Industrial Engineering Program of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) has officially launched its collaboration with two prominent industry leaders, FAST Logistics and AF Payments Inc. (AFPI), through a series of successful kick-off meetings held in January 2025.

The meetings follow the recent signing of separate Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) between UA&P and each company. These agreements mark the start of a six-month scoping study, during which UA&P’s Industrial Engineering Program will work closely with FAST Logistics and AFPI to analyze their business needs, challenges, and opportunities for research, internship and educational training.

UA&P Industrial Engineering partners with FAST Logistics, AF Payments Inc. for Strategic Scoping Studies

The primary objective of the scoping study is to identify key areas of collaboration that could form the foundation for long-term strategic partnerships between UA&P and its industry partners. These partnerships aim to leverage the strengths of academia and industry to drive innovation, optimize operations, and address critical challenges in logistics, payment systems, and related fields.

FAST Logistics, a leading provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions, and AFPI, the operator behind the popular beep™ card payment system, bring significant expertise and reach to the collaboration. Through the scoping study, UA&P’s Industrial Engineering faculty and students will have the opportunity to engage with real-world challenges and contribute to innovative solutions.

The results of the scoping study, to be completed by mid-2025, are expected to pave the way for comprehensive projects and programs that strengthen UA&P’s ties with industry and further its mission of producing impactful, research-driven outcomes.
