Faithful to its commitment to provide teaching enhancement training to its partner schools, the UA&P Department of Information Science and Technology (IST) of the School of Sciences and Engineering (SSE) conducted training for faculty members of IST’s extension partners in Bulacan this July.

On July 20, through the MIT Workshop on Social Innovation class under Mr. Chipi Buenafe, IST provided training on Canva (beginner’s level) and Microsoft Teams (beginner’s and advanced level) for the faculty members of Jose J. Mariano Memorial High School.

The following day, training was held for the faculty members of DepEd Tayo – F. Mendoza Memorial ES (FMMES) in Calumpit, Bulacan. The Enhancement Training on Google Suites was a follow-up on the training that was conducted last year via Zoom. This time, the training was done onsite and more exercises were given to the participants on how to maximize the features and use of google applications.

IST also gave FMMES training on Basic Computer Troubleshooting and Maintenance, equipping the ICT Coordinators and teachers who are handling computer subject to be more self-reliant. The computers donated by IST and DXC Technology – GIDC Philippines were used during the training.
