As a precaution against the spread of infectious diseases including the 2019-nCoV (Novel Coronavirus), everyone entering the University will be screened using non-contact infrared thermal scanners at campus entrances starting February 2. Students and employees whose temperature is at least 37.8° C will undergo further examination by the University’s Medical Staff and advised accordingly.

Everyone entering the University via the Pearl Drive gate in vehicles or on foot will be scanned at the front of the ALB lobby. Those arriving in vehicles need not step out for the scanning. Everyone is advised to allot enough time for these procedures to avoid reporting late for class or work.

(All applicants and parents entering UA&P for the entrance exams on February 2 will be scanned upon entry. Individuals with a temperature of 37.8 °C will not be allowed to take the exam but a special exam will be given at a later date. Gates will open at 6:00 am. Please come early to allot time for this procedure. For inquiries, please call the Admissions Office at (02) 86370912 local 310.)

Everyone is also encouraged to bring alcohol-based hand sanitizers and to observe proper etiquette when coughing or sneezing. More information on the 2019-nCoV and its prevention is available here.
